Over 100 laborer-beneficiaries of the Ka Fuerte Cash-for-Work Program from the municipalities of Lupi, Sipocot, Pili, Nabua, and Lagonoy received their payout on July 20, 2022 at the Capitol Convention Center.
Beneficiaries who received their payout worked for 10 days to construct a path walk in their barangay through the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur’s efforts and initiatives. The Ka Fuerte Cash-for-Work Program was able to provide not just a temporary employment for the beneficiaries to help in supporting the needs of their families, but was also able to bring change through the said infrastructure project to the lives of local residents in the barangay who struggle daily from the muddy, rocky, and non-concrete pathways.
For William Camasis from Bulawan Sr, Lupi whose livelihood depends on the skates of the railway, the Cash-for-Work Program was a big help in providing additional support for the needs of his family. “Dakulang tabang ini samo ta siyempre an mga extrang hanapbuhay na arog kani dakula man giraray an ambag sa samuyang pangangaipuhan sa aroaldaw,” he said.
He also shared the change that this program brought to their barangay. “Magayunon po na may arog kaning programa ta kadtong enot po, hilada lang an nakakaagi tapos an mga tawo pag maluwas sinda sa riles hale nin highway, malaboy. Haros nakabitis lang sinda. Ngunyan na nagin pathwalk na ini, maski 1 meter lang siya, dakulaon na pakinabang kani sa residensya maski sa magkataraid na barangay dahil pag nalaog sinda sa Brgy. Bulawan Sr., pasil na ta bako nang gayong malapok an inaagihan ninda,” Camasis said.
Expressing his joy in being part of the program, Camasis thanked the Provincial Government and Governor Luigi Villafuerte. “Maogma po ako na nakabali ako sa arog kaning programa ta si Governor Luigi po an nangangasiwa kan patrabaho. Salamaton na maray sa mga ginigibo niya sa saiyang mga programa na nakakatabang sa tawo. Nagpapasalamat po kaming dakula kay Gov. Luigi dahil sa kadakulan na barangay na naghahagad nin tabang sa saiyang programa, saro kami sa natabangan niya,” he furthered.
In the upland barangay of Tula-Tula in Sipocot, residents also suffer from muddy and rocky pathway.
“An samuyang mga kabuhayan igdi iyo an mga produkto nin [niyog asin batag] kaya dakulang tabang samuya na igwa na nin pathwalk saka marhay na agihan ta mabilis mi nang mailuluwas si mga produkto. Sabi mi kadto, kun dae kami maggibo nin paagi, dae mi man talaga mailuluwas an samong mga produkto. Kaya nagpapasalamat kami sa ngunyan ta an samuyang lugar, napagayon dahil sa programang ini,” shared Anacito Manares, a resident of Tula-Tula, Sipocot.
Now that Barangay Tula-Tula has a newly constructed concrete path walk, Manares, who was among the laborer-beneficiaries who worked to construct the path walk, was able to attest to the benefits it has brought to the local residents. “Dati po talaga an sitwasyon kan mayo pa si pathwalk, rough road saka talagang nilalaboy pag tig-uuran. Ngunyan sa presente, nakakasakat na po duman an samuyang mga sasakyan, motor o kun ano pang klase nin vehikulo,” he said.
Camasis, Manares, and the other laborer-beneficiaries of the Cash-for-Work Program expressed their sincere gratitude to the Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Luigi Villafuerte, for continuing to work for the mission and commitment to uplift the lives of every Camarinense through the Cash-for-Work Program.
