The Sanford Marketing Corp (Savemore Market-Pili), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur through the CamSur Employment Center (CamSur PESO), conducted a one-day special recruitment activity at the 2nd floor of the New IT Building, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur on June 7, 2022. A total of 50 vacancies for Customer Assistants, Cashiers, and Store Clerks were opened to all applicants. This is the first time in two years under the pandemic that special recruitment activities were conducted by CamSur PESO.
Quina Lanuzo from Bustrac, Nabua, was one of the applicants who made most of the opportunity. She was one of those who made it to the final interview. The 25-year old was a former cashier in a local supermarket and has been seeking new job opportunities for 3 years now. Upon seeing the hiring ad posted by CamSur Peso on Facebook and also hearing it over the radio, she decided to try to apply.
“Dakulaon pong tabang ang arog kaning recruitment activities lalo po sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho at pagkakakitaan sa aroaldaw lalo na ngayong pandemic. Importante po ang may trabaho. Importante po ini sa mga graduating students tapos sa arog ko na mayo po nin trabaho ta nagkaigwa nin bagong opportunity asin experience,” she shared.
Grateful for the opportunity to land a job during these trying times, Quina also said, “Dakulaon po ang pasasalamat ko sa CamSur PESO na naging daan para makahanap ng panibagong trabaho, panibagong experience saka mapapagkakitaan sa aroaldaw.”
Eighteen-year old Lince Lituania of La Purisima, Pili expressed her happiness for reaching the final interview stage and her gratitude for the opportunity opened to them through the special recruitment activity. “Masaya po ako na isa ako sa for final interview kasi maganda ‘yung merong ganitong activity kasi ‘yung iba po halos wala po silang mahanap na trabaho tapos dito sa CamSur PESO, ‘yung lahat ng mga applicants pwede po sila pumunta dito para mag-apply tapos meron pong posibilidad na makapasok sa work mismo,” she said.
“Maogmahon pong maray ta kadakol na din po akong pig-applyan tapos ngunyan lang ako nakapasok for final interview. Nagpapasalamat po sa CamSur PESO at sa Savemore kasi nakahanap po ako ng trabaho at sana kadakol pa sindang matabangan na arog ko na kaipuhan po nin trabaho,” Lituania also added.
As the province transitions to the new normal and protocols ease up, CamSur PESO slowly resumes the face-to-face job hiring and recruitment activities. More special recruitment activities are scheduled to be held on June 17, 2022 with EarthSmart Human Resource Phil. Inc. and on June 23 and 25, 2o22 with the Lead Resources Management Corp at the New IT Building. Face-to-Face Local and Overseas Job Fair will also be held on June 24, 2022 at the Signature Park, Sta. Rosa del Norte, Pasacao.
Special Recruitment Activities are one of the programs implemented by the Provincial Government through CamSur PESO to build a bridge between employers and applicants to bring job opportunities closer to job seekers in the province.
