, “NAVIGATING THE FUTURE: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATIONS AND CULTURAL DYNAMICS IN ASEAN BUSINESS.” I have always believed that technology is a force and catalyst for positive change.
And I share the view that improving infrastructure and bringing connectivity to underserved areas is essential to enable efficient digital services. Hence, I would like to manifest my commitment in supporting measures toward investing in new and relevant technologies, removing unneeded regulatory barriers to the current market processes, improving e-government services, and funding social measures for digital inclusion and technical skills.
On my first term as the representative of Rinconada District
, I have filed the “E-Governance Act” which aims to promote ICT infrastructure development and emerging technologies within and across government agencies for more efficient and transparent public service. Within this measure is the Free Access to the Internet for the Public Internet Program and the creation of the ICT Academy.
The said measure (HB07327) was approved in the House and transferred to Senate early last year. Mayroon din po tayong bills on promoting the adoption of digital payments for financial transactions of the government and all merchants and for other purposes (HB275), institutionalizing the use of digital technology in the public education system (HB276), and establishing a digital transformation of education roadmap for the effective delivery of education through information and communications technology (HB3685).
