All Dressed in White

The Colacling Covered Court in Lupi, Camarines Sur appeared to have been showered with lilies as brides, numbering 233 and all dressed in white, with their grooms also in white barongs for the mass church wedding sponsored by Gov. LRay Villafuerte and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur. Among the couples and actually the oldest are Luis Magdaong, 79 years old and his pair Felicisima Peña, 63 years old (inset). Wanting to prove that “he still got it,” Luis carried home on his shoulders the sack of rice given by “Ninong LRay” while the bride pursed the cash gift.
