Gov. LRay attends Gawad Kalinga Boston anti-poverty launching To make RP a first world country by 2024
Camarines Sur Governor LRay Villafuerte was among the leading “movers and shakers” who attended and was one of the presentors at the unveiling of Gawad Kalinga’s 2024 vision held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA Friday , June 12, 2009.
The vision presented by GK founder Tony Meloto at the Boston summit is focused at ending the poverty of some 5 million poorest Filipino families and build a First World Philippines.
Farmers Field Schools for large-scale abaca production launched in CamSur
Pili, CamSur. The thrust of the provincial government for the large-scale propagation of abaca here is now gaining headway with the recent launching of the Farmers Field School (FFS) in abaca producing towns of the province.
A Farmers Field School would train and enlighten planters on various stages of abaca propagation including pests and diseases prevention and control management that would contribute immensely to a much efficient and improved growth of this valuable crop.
CamSur’s Computer-based Learning Program brings capability enhancement to 119 graduates

Gov. LRay Villafuerte and the CamSur government proved anew its staunch commitment to bring capability enhancement to its constituents through its Southeast Asian Institute of Computer Technology (SeaICT) in simple ceremonies held at the Villa Del Rey within the Capitol Complex where 119 graduates received Certificates of Completion with provincial TESDA Director Jose V. Serrano as guest and witness.
