Vegetable Production Training

Training participants learn new technology to produce organic inputs for their garden plots during the 4th session of the Farmers Field School (FFS) at barangay Santiago, Iriga City. The training is a joint undertaking of the provincial government of Camarines Sur through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), and Rinconada Movement for Economic and Sustainable Agriculture (RINCOMESA) aimed at making the province self-sufficient in high quality vegetables. Agricultural productivity is among the priority concerns of Governor LRay Villafuerte along his thrust to ensure the food security in the province and provide the constituents an alternative or supplemental income. Some of the vegetable crops which were cultivated during the FFS include lettuce, eggplant, cucumber and pole sitao. / lagavino/stn/opa/ mmec
