Philippine judges group holds national convention in CamSur
PILI,CamSur. The province of Camarines Sur and the City of Naga will play hosts of the three-day Mid-Term National Convention of the members of the prestigious Philippine Judges Association (PJA) next week, from October 13 to 15, 2010.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato C. Corona will be the guest of honor of the PJA meet which has adopted as its theme “A Judiciary Worthy of Public Trust.” The chief Justice is scheduled to render the keynote speech on October 14 at the Capitol Convention Center at Cadlan, Pili.
Governor LRay Villafuerte is slated to deliver the welcome address also on October 14. Judge Freddie D. Balonzo, PJA Senior Vice President will do the honor of introducing the Governor before the members of the organization who will be coming from the various regions of the country.
On the first day, Wednesday, Governor Villafuerte will host a dinner for the PJA members at the Convention Center. After the dinner, the guests will be entertained with a dance presentation by the Capitol Cultural Group. This will be followed by the Masquerade Night where the organizers have lined up an array of fun and enlivening activities.
Another highlight of the national convention is the Dialogue with the Court Administrator and Deputy Assistants Court Administrators also on October 14.
On the third day, Friday morning, October 15, the judges will visit various tourist destinations here in CamSur and Albay. Sports activities such as fun shooting and badminton have also been included in the morning schedule.
Later in the afternoon, the PJA members will resume their formal gathering with a Regional Consultative Meeting at Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City. This will be followed by the Closing Ceremonies including the Closing Remarks of PJA President, Judge Antionio M. Eugenio, Jr. (stn/ MMEC)
