CWC to feature Comic and Animé Costume Contest on the 2nd night of Ultimate Wake Championship
Another spectacular sports event is set to unfold at the world famous CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) that will fortify its stature as a veritable tourist and watersports haven not only for local tourists and aficionados of the sports but also for foreign wakeboard athletes, competitors and organizers, having the most modern and complete facilities ideal for holding wakeboard competitions.
The last and final stop of the 2010 WWA Wakeboard World Series dubbed “Ultimate Wake Championship” is slated to set ablaze a fiery and exciting competition among top riders in the sport across the globe in a five-day battle starting January 19 to the 23 at CWC.
Considered to be the toughest test, a rider has to out best all the other competitors in the four disciplines of the sport to be adjudged the ultimate wake champion. Thus, it is expected that the event will attract multitudes of wakeboard aficionados and tourists to CamSur particularly to CWC.
Meanwhile, the provincial government of CamSur under the leadership of Gov. LRay Villafuerte and thru the instrumentality of the offices concerned, is brewing up activities and events to add color and zest to the five-day competition for the delight of the participants and guests.
Slated on the evening of the second day is the Comic Strip Party where everyone, kids and adults alike, have to come in their colorful and most interesting comic character or animé costume. Those having the best costumes stand to win cash prizes: P5,000 for the first place, P3,000 for the second place and P2,000 for the third place.
Invitation is hereby addressed to the public to witness or be part of the revelry as it is open to everyone. Admission is free.
